Teeing Off for a Great Day

Teeing Off for a Great Day

More than 25 teams teed off for the 25th annual Darlington Rotary AM/AM
Golf Day.

The event, which was started and is still lead by Rtn Derek Alderson, was played at Blackwell Grange golf course in Darlington and 27 teams battled for glory in the sunshine.

The honours went to the ladies team from Seaton Leng and the day brought the funds raised in the 25 years the competition has been run to around £100,000.

The main sponsors were SG Petch and Darlington President Peter Phillips said: ‘We are very grateful to them, and to the volunteers who scored, photographed, registered, started and monitored the players – and refreshed them afterwards.

‘And huge thanks of course to Derek, who has lead the organising of the event since I started.’
